One of the unique aspects of owning a Fresh Culture Café Coffee bar is that we offer two separate franchise concepts: Owner operator outlets and corporate operated outlets – where Fresh Culture Café manages and runs your store for you.  

Owning a Franchise offers the Franchisee the opportunity to own your own business, while still enjoying the benefits of a much larger, multiple-outlet organisation. Advantages to the Franchisee include training, marketing and better buying power. Promotional campaigns, product and equipment research and design, central office support and retraining whenever required, are all ongoing services and support provided by our head office support staff. 

Fresh Culture Cafés Coffee Bars are highly regarded and known as being a well-managed, growing operation, targeting the middle to upper income groups and providing clients with a superior level of customer service. As the Franchisor, our success is totally dependent on your success as a royalty paying Franchisee. We are therefore totally committed to honest and ethical, but strict franchising procedures, in accordance with FASA, the CPA and our own internal rules and procedures. 

Fresh Culture Café offers a full turnkey shop setup; we will design and build your shop with a qualified and experienced team of individuals. Another one of the benefits of Fresh Culture Café is that it is totally modular, we do not have to break or bolt anything, we can install in only a few days. We will also assist you too get the best possible lease and landlord contributions. 

Fresh Culture Café sites range from the 30m2 to 50m2, and the site selection model ranges from Corporate firm sites (such as Ernst & Young and BMW) which encapsulate the on the go executives; to national shopping centers in a more typical retail environment. The bars are built to comfortably cope with serving as many as 200 customers per hour. The coffee bars are inspired by clean simple architecture and stark white colour schemes. The bars are designed to specifically enhance the customers’ experience, and they are built using granite and specially polished world-class wooden shop fitting. 

The setup cost for a Fresh Culture Café Coffee Bar starts at R 495 000 excluding vat – the cost will depend on the size of the store. These costs include the Franchise Fee of R 65 000 and the cost of shop fitting, all equipment, point of sale, furniture, signage, stationery, training and uniforms. Fresh Culture Café charges a monthly royalty fee of 6% and a marketing fee of 2% of the total revenue. The corporate operator model differs slightly, by replacing the royalty fee with a business management fee which is negotiated per store.
